DiSchiavi Enterprises is now Ray's Rods & Restorations

Ray Sztabnik ("Stab-Nick") has been restoring, modifying, and racing Corvettes for about thirty years. After a long successful career in Information Technology, working for various firms in New York City, he's decided to take his passion and share it with others full time, forming “Ray’s Rods and Restorations, LLC ”, under Mario DiSchiavi's guidance.

Ray has had a passion for Corvettes since his early teenage years. While waiting for a paint order at the local body shop supply to repair a neighbor's car, he got a ride around the block in a '69 big block convertible, and was hooked. Working in a print shop after school, he finally convinced his father to chip in on a 1975 code 42 Bright Green Metallic coupe, as a father/son project.

The various upgrades and repairs soon cascaded into a full body-off restoration, which was not something anyone was really doing with a mid-70's Corvette in the 80's, but was driven by Ray's love for the marque and his relentless pursuit of perfection.

The car has won many trophies over the past three decades; and, after that repaint at DiSchiavi, Ray's father, Ray Sr., continues to bring them home today, including 6 “Best of Show” trophies in that first returning season alone.
